After perhaps hundreds of performances as the Marschallin, what fun it was to play Helen of Troy! I adored Laurent Pelly`s production, so full of ideas and wit, and Marc Minkowski`s spirited conducting. The performances were totally sold out: the buzz around the production was amazing. I think the recording catches the spirit of the performances, because we were right in the middle of things when we recorded it, and the dialogue sounds like a live show. I`m a bit pleased with the DVD, although I can`t really bear to watch myself perform. My colleagues were stunning, and Michel Senechal gave us all a lesson in singing, speaking and timing every  night! I`m thrilled to be scheduled to sing in this delightful show again in Autumn 2003.
