The
sun is shining at last! I am in Hereford for the Three Choirs Festival
and writing this looking out across fields, beautifully green after all
the rain. It is so peaceful here, and most therapeutic after a lot of
travelling and many concerts in June. I have had a lovely time though,
in Hardelot, Auch, Wigmore Hall, Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart and now
Hereford. I am very proud to be taking over from Dame Janet Baker as
President of the Three Choirs Festival Society and look forward to
having a reason to come back to this beautiful part of the country every
summer. This year’s programme is packed with exciting events and
everyone works so hard behind the scenes, as I experienced at first hand
yesterday- thank you all!
